The 28th Annual Membership Meeting of the Vegetation Management Association of Kentucky (VMAK) will be held at the Radisson Plaza Hotel, 369 West Vine Street, Lexington, Kentucky on March 3, 4 and 5, 2008.. Our program agenda will continue to provide the full complement of Certification Credits for Category 6 (Rights-of-Way) which will include three (3) Specific CEU Credits and nine (12) General CEU Credits. There will also be Specific Certification Credits for Category 2 , 5, 10, 11, 12 and 17. In addition, there will be ISA Certification Credits offered at the meeting. We are continuing to offer member companies, vendor companies, their representatives, and interested individuals the opportunity to show their support for the VMAK organization by becoming a Sustaining Member. The registration desk will open on Monday, March 3rd at 10:00 a.m. The Annual Meeting will begin on Monday afternoon, March 3, 2008, and continue through noon on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, and will include a luncheon on Tuesday, March 4th. Fees for membership and registration for the 2008 Annual Meeting are as follows: Pre-Registration (includes individual membership dues and luncheon): $50.00 Sustaining Memberships: Silver (includes registration, luncheon and membership for one (1) individual): $250.00 Other information: Representatives from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture will be on hand to address any questions or concerns with any aspect of Vegetation Management on Rights-of-Ways that have arisen as a result of the revision of the Pesticide Use and Application Act (KRS 217B) which became effective on July 1, 2001. Reciprocal re-certification credits have been requested from those states that typically participate in the reciprocity program with Kentucky and we anticipate a positive response from each of them. To assure that you receive the proper re-certification from each of the states, please bring the necessary documentation (i.e., certification number, license number, social security number, and current mailing address) with you to receive the proper CEU credit. Again, this year we will also have ISA Credits for Arbroists. After the conference training and testing will be conducted for those who need to take their certification test. The training and testing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you plan on taking the test you will need to bring a check or money order made out to the Kentucky State Treasurer for $25.00. This test and its cost is not part of the conference registration. To pre-register and pay with a credit card click here.
